It is generally considered the easiest to remove and clean a broken lightbulb using a pair of regular needle nose pliers.
How to get a broken lightbulb out of a fixture. Mix up your piece of epoxy and pack it into the base of the bulb. Create handles with the tape lower your tape loop around the bulb and gently press tape at the loop s center onto the bulb s sides. Use light bulb lubricants available at home improvement stores on the bulb s base before screwing in the bulb so it doesn t get stuck and break in the future.
